IFD303: This class has taught me new ways of using social media other than for personal use. Being able to make a website and have it be open to future employers, and also bringing out my creative side, gives me new skills that I can use later on in my career. This class helps you to get to know yourself in different aspects dealing with social media. And also learning how what you put on the internet stays on the internet. The things that you will learn in this class goes beyond just a communications major. Every major should take this course and learn about the all the different aspects about the web and social media.

Facebook has become on of the know social media sites that many users visit very often. Knowing this i have decided to create a Facebook page that people can interact with and get a sense of me and the future career goals that I have.
Also coming up in the lead is Twitter. It is the fast growing site that everyone is talking about. So as a person living in the world on technology, I to jumped on the band wagon. I started my twitter to show future clients and employees that I do have the skills for the job that I want. Also to show that I have practice in this area. My twitter page talks about different types of media in many different areas. Everything from celebrity new to world news. I have done a review on it.

My website was completely made from scratch. I made it to show potential employers and clients, the skills that I have learned and the work that I have done. Each page of my website has the personality of me and the presence of my creative within it. I would think that a future employer would look at it and think to themselves that they know me about would love to get to know me a little bit more. It also links to my other pages and has a downloadable version of my resume, just in case a employer takes an interest in my work.
Linkedin is know as the professional Facebook. Many people use this site for things such as, job hunting, internships, and many others reasons. This site can help t get you going on the right path to your career goals. I started my Linkedin account to get more information on the future career goal that I have. Also I wanted to find internships and potential jobs for when I graduate.
Blog
Many don't have blogs that they use for their work. After being in this class and learning about social media, having a blog compliments all the work that you have been doing. Plus after doing some carefully research, blogs have become the number one thing that just about all websites have. So I connected the same idea to my website. My blog is more connected to my twitter. Many of the topics that I talk about on my twitter account is more explained in my blogs. Giving you better sense of the topics.
